Question

8 x 10 format photo printing problem

When I print a photo on 8 x 10 photo paper on my HP Officejet 4632  printer I  first get the following message:  "The following image will be rendered at less than 300 dpi at the requested print size."  Then the photo is printed with part cut off.  This does not happen when I print on 4x6 inch paper.  The HP tech I communicated with said it was a software matter. I don't know what I need to adjust.

This message comes up frequently for many users, no matter the make of the printer. Simply ignore it; the print quality will be fine.

1. Do you have the latest driver for your printer? Check on the HP web site.

2. Is the photo cropped to 8x10 before you send it to the printer?

3. I have HP Premium Photo Paper stock, but it is 8.5x11". Suggest that you check this.

4. Be sure that orientation of picture (landscape vs. portrait) coincides with dimensions of paper.

Thank you for your suggestions but I'm having the same problem.

I have the latest driver, and the photo is cropped to 8 x 10. (The paper

IS actually 8.5 x 11 in size.) I'm using the portrait orientation, which

shows the entire image fitting on the screen. But the top of the image is

still not printing and the bottom 20% of the paper is blank. Any further

ideas?
