Actions not working with mouse

I recently got a new computer with a touchpad mouse and windows 10. I have installed Photoshop Elements 10 and all of my actions on the new computer. Everything works except for actions that require a mouse click. These will not work with the touchpad or an external mouse (regular photoshop tools like clone stamp do work). Should I reinstall the actions? Do I need a newer version of Elements or a new mouse?
