Add Focus not working in elements 2021

I have elements 2021 registered Windows 10 version and just tried to use Zoom Burst effect again, but now the "add focus area" does not work. It worked fine when I first intalled 2021 but now when I draw my focus line nothing happens.

Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this aggravating problem?
