Question

Add new backgrounds to Photoshop Elements 14 Graphics Backgrounds

When I had PSE 12 I was able to add my own created backgrounds to PSE 12 Graphics Backgrounds by doing the following:

1. Go to C:\Program Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\12.0\Photocreations\Backgrounds

Then

2. Copy a background of my choosing and paste it into Backgrounds in PSE12.

Now I have Photoshop Elements 14 and I want to do the same thing. I want to add many of my own backgrounds to the Graphics Backgrounds available in PSE 14.  There are so few choices in the program.

How can I add more backgrounds? Can someone supply the directions?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I was able to put a background on the clipboard (do a copy) and then paste it on top of my photo with Ctrl V (PC not Apple).  It automatically makes a new layer out of the pasted picture.  Move the layer to the back and you have a background.  I couldn't make it work by adding a photo into the Backgrounds folder.

You can try doing the same for PSE 14 as well.

At location C:\Program Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\ , you would find the corresponding folder for 14.0 as well.

Please try and let me know if you are stuck anywhere.

Thanks,

Arshla, I have tried your suggestion, several times, but the copied images do not show up in the PSE 14 Graphics Backgrounds. Can you try this method to see if it works for you? Is there another set of steps to import my own backgrounds into this group in PSE?
