Adding gender symbols to text in Elements

I am trying to add yhe male symbol to a bird photograph on a calendar I am producing in PSE 11. Anybody know how to do this?

Gender symbols can be added as special characters in most common fonts (Alt 11 or Alt 12),

Or as 'custom shapes' 'symbol' category: male or female.
