Adobe Elements 14 not opening new document - Mac

After recently updating my Mac I have opened Photoshop Elements 14 and whil I can copy in images, etc, whenever I go to open a new document I just get the spinning wheel. Just wondering if there's any solutions or fixes for this issue, please?
