Adobe Elements 2020

I bought Premiere Elements 2020 years ago and have not used it quite often. Yesterday I installed it with my license key and received the message that it is already installed at two computers. The message is that I need to install it first on one of the two computers before I can install it on the new computer.

I can't uninstall it because the computers don't exist anymore. Adobe Support told me that I can deactivate them in my portal. The portal only shows me Adobe Photography Plan and nothing more.

Adobe support told they are not allowed to remove the activation and I have to go to Premiere Pro Plan.

I need help for my lifetime license, how can I remove the activations

Hanss, if your computers don’t exist anymore than your means of deactivating PSE 2020 isn’t going to be possible.  You’d have gone to your Help menu and selected ‘Sign Out” on each computer, but again that window has closed.  I get that you’re angry and wish I could help, but understand, none of us work for Adobe.  Glenn doesn’t work for Adobe either.

If it helps any, and if you still have your registration number # for PSE 2020, it’ll qualify you for a 20% off discount on 2026.  Be sure to choose the $79.99 discounted offer.

Thanks for your offer, but will not buy 2026 with a licence for just 3 years. Start to use other video editing programs.

It is time to drop Adobe at all and switch to a European based photo editing software like DxO

You can’t.  Adobe discontinued “resetting” activations in June 2024.  You are out of luck, there is nothing you can do about it.

You can forget about ever  using PE 2020 ever again.

That’s just the way it is.

Seriously,  there is nothing you can do about it.   “Lifetime License” “Calling someone at Adobe”, “I paid good money” “Class action Lawsuit” “I’m going to contact my lawyer” ---it’s all been said before- all of which serves no real purpose other than as an outlet to vent.

Even thought that version was pretty to look at it’s probably time you move onto more modern software.  That version was released close to 7 years ago- which is pretty old in the terms of software.
