ADOBE'S SOFTWARE: Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service

After weeks of digging deep with diagnostics, Apple tech, and other software support techs, today I was not surprised to diagnose YET ANOTHER issue with Adobe's software!!

This time, I discovered that if Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service is enabled in the System Preferences: App Background Activity panel, SPOTLIGHT WILL NOT RETURN FILES RESULTS!

The symptom is, when you use spotlight to search for a file, no results are returned. NO amount of Terminal work, force rebuilding indexes, trashing files, etc. would work.

Once Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service was toggled OFF, BINGO...files started appearing after I forced the Spotlight index to be rebuilt by Adding then Removing the volumes in Spotlight's Privacy panel.

You'll notice by the two attached screenshots that no files are returned until the above is disabled.

I've tried my best to report this issue to Adobe, but can't begin to understand the agents through a very thick accent. Frustrated, and feel I've wasted so much time and money in attempts to stay with their products. At this point, I'm going to STILL look for an alternative since I have ZERO confidence in them making a sound solution for those of us who choose not to pay the monthly ransom for Lightroom & Photoshop.

Hi @CaptGizmo

Could you please share the version of macos for which you are getting this issue?

Can you please re-read my well crafted post in which I've clearly listed all the information needed in the very first 2 lines!

this is the latest MAC OS26 TAHOE and is currently at the .0.1 release.

I sure wish I could be paid for the amount of time wasted on this research...let alone the difficult process of reporting this bug!
