adobe elements 7 adobe projector not working

I have an old cd of elements 7 and when I try to reinstall the program on either windows 8 or 10 I get the message adobe projector not working.   on windows 8 I got theadditional message of  msvcp71.dll.  It was working last week but could not restore it.  Adobe does not support it any longer even thuogh I have serial # etc.  I like this program any advice?  Esp links to how to fix it ince I am not that computer saavy!
