Recently upgraded to Windows 10 and identified that Adobe does not support Elements 9 on Windows 10. Installed Elements 15 however need to migrate catalog and data. Please advise process, assume Elements 9 catalog may not have been backed up by the Organizer prior to the upgrade to Windows 10, only the whole PC was backed up.

How was Windows 10 installed?

In the best case, only the operating system has been updated and your media files and catalogs are still on your computer.

If you have a full backup of your computer, the media files and catalogs should be recoverable anyway.

Of course, the best choice would have been to make a full backup from the organizer:

Move Elements Organizer catalog

Note that even if PSE9 is no longer supported, it should still work with possible updates of OS components or compatibility settings.

Please, confirm if your Windows 10 has been installed on a 'wiped' computer or if only the OS has been updated,

and what kind of backup you have now so that we can provide targeted advice.

Hi,

Please look out for the solution to turn ON DirectX as mentioned in following thread:

PSE11 Organizer "DirectX could not be initialized. Please be sure that it is installed..."

Thanks,
