Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Canon Rebel t6

Are they compatible? I am having a hard time getting elements to recognize my Canon t6. It recognizes my Canon xti...

If they are please tell me what I need to do to link my new Canon t6 to it? I did download the Canon software for the t6 EOS utility.

    Your Canon Txi requires Adobe Camera Raw 9.5 to open raw files.  Elements 10 does not support this version.  You need Elements 15 or later to install the ACR 9.5 plug-in. 

    As an alternative to upgrading, you can use the Adobe dng converter to convert your raw files to the dng format.
