I purchased this (above in the subject) some years ago and now with the latest version of Mac OS (Mojave) I get the message that it is not optimised for Mac - contact the developer. I am an artist and I use photoshop to fix my reference photos before I paint.  i paid for this software and I expect it to continue working so want to know how to get this fixed. I can't even open the app now to see who the developer is? any help would be appreciated. I should not have to purchase anything new - extra etc, I already paid a lot for this app. thanks in advance , Lesley

Several people have reported that Apple have caused these problems with their latest update. There is always a compatibility risk when updating Mac OS on computers running older software and plug-ins.

Go to Privacy settings in System Preferences and if the Elements Editor is listed you may be able to authorize it.

thanks 99jon - I was able to add the app and sadly I still get the error. I appreciate the time you took to answer my question. in the meantime I have downloaded a free trial of Pixelmator to give it s go- if this works it seems this purchase may suit my needs and is cheaper than the photoshop editor. its just a shame that a paid app does not work any more but I understand that's progress sometimes. many thanks again. Don’t forget Black Friday sales that are coming. There are normally good discounts on Elements. You can get the free trial of PSE 2019 right away. Go to the link at the bottom of this page.

If it runs fine there is no need to re-install. Simply use the serial number from disk or key card.
