purchased adobe photoshop elements 12 and trying to install. I used the redemption code to get the serial number but the number does not work

Which number doesn't work? The Redemption code or the serial number you get by entering the redemption code.

Also PS E is 4 years old. Not sure where or how you purchased that old software.
