Adobe Photoshop Elements version 1

Hello, I had Adobe Photoshop Elements version 1 on an old desktop.  I had to buy a new computer and had Best Buy do the transfer of data, but of course my Photoshop program did not move over.  I still have the serial number, but I don't know how to get the program again.  I tried doing a live chat with someone from Adobe and she told me to post my question on the forums.  She was not able to help me, but told me someone on here will be able to.  I loved using the Photoshop software even though it was very old.  Please help!!

    I have the install disk, but it looks for Windows Internet Explorer, which does not exist - how do I get past that?

    What version of photoshop elements are you trying to install?

    What version of windows do you have?

    I no longer have the CD.  I only have the envelope with the serial number on it.  I was just looking at an old backup of my old pc and it looks like I had version 6.  Unfortunately the program files are not on the backup.  Only setting files.

    When I did the online chat with Adobe, they looked up my serial number and told me I had version 1.  I had to wait 2 hours to get bad information.

    I currently have Windows 10.  I have 1/2 TB of free space.

    Only photoshop elements versions 1 and 2 had the problem with hard drive free space.

    Versions after pse 2 including pse 6 don't have that problem.

    But unfortunately, as far as i know, adobe doesn't provide download links to photoshop elements 6.

    If you bought pse 6 from adobe as a download, there is a slim chance it's still available to download from your adobe account.

    What operating system does your new computer have?

    First you should check how much free space your hard drive has, since pse 1 won't work on hard drives with around 1TB or more of free space.

    Unfortunately, we can provide for only the download of PSE version 7 and onwards.

    Although, you can install this version with the CD/DVD, if you already have which you downloaded from on your older PC.
