advertising for elements 2025 has rendered my 2024 entirely useless. how do I fix it?

Trying to use elements 2024. Adobe is trying to seel me elements 2025, with a giant obnoxous banner that has made it impossible to use elements 2024. Even trying to close down 2024 is impossible now without the task manager. How do I remove this banner so I can go back to using the product I paid for?
