@Glenn 8675309, this is an old thread that has been revived by someone who apparently thinks it's OK for Apple to create a new Operating System every year that won't support legacy programs.

. . .  and I can continue to use Elements 4 on my Windows 10 machine, Even though it was released more than 17 years ago.  I am about to upgrade to Windows 11 and I suspect I will be able to use it there too.  So forgive me if I am of the opinion that the fault lies with the OS publisher who fails to allow legacy software to work on an updated operating system.

@johnd70391970 I believe you have told us that you have found a great different software solution.  After all these months, I'm sorry that your anger directed at Adobe does not allow you to stop trolling on this forum.

Adobe ha$ made it$ policie$ pretty clear, I'd $ay.  You know they could tweak it like other companies do, but then they would not make mucho dinero selling us a new PSE every year or two.

Lot's of things you're not telling us:   any special software? why you complain about photoshop elements but post images related to Photoshop.  What have you done , extra, "because you know your way around computers"-- basic stuff like that.  People never talk about stuff like that --- editing their registry for example, turning off background processes, and manually installing plugins in the wrong location for example.

You have to provide information that can be used by other users to help you, typing in all caps, and porviding screenshots of a program that isn't even what you are talking about is just part of a rant.

You haven't told us when you made your purchase, but if it was very recent you might be interested in looking at this article which gives information about a potential free upgrade.

Great, that link goes to a generic search help page. Thanks a lot Greg. Remind me to ignore your advice from now on.

@johnd70391970, this is a user-to-user forum. No need to shoot the messenger.  The link for a free upgrade was working when I posted it, several weeks ago.  It allowed users who purchased Elements 2022 shortly before Elements 2023 was released (in September) to get a free upgrade. The time for that option has apparently now expired.  You snooze, you lose.
