Alligning images in Photoshop

Hi,

I would like to know how to align images in Photoshop. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 installed, can I align images using this software?

The instructions I have are:

  1. Open Adobe Bridge and navigate
    to suitable folder
  2. Tools > Photoshop > Load
    Files into Photoshop Layers
  3. Open Photoshop
  4. Lock layer that you want as
    target image for auto-align
  5. Select > All Layers
  6. Edit > Auto-align Layers and
sectect the “Auto” option (Takes some time if you have quite a few layers)
  7. Once finished, hide all layers
    except target layer
  8. Select target image by
ctr+clicking on target thumbnail in layer pane
  9. Image > Crop
  10. File > Scripts > Export
Layers to File to export the registered layers to individual images. Make sure
you select JPG and Image quality 12

Can I do this with Photoshop Elements 15?

Many thanks,

John Hart

You should be able to accomplish this with PSE, though the directions which you reference do not apply, of course.

Suggest that you post 2-3 images here on the forum page and tell us which objects are to be aligned.

Many thanks for getting back to me.

Attached are two images just for show, I want to align the whole of both images together.

I was using the workflow suggested for the trial version, which following product do I need that will allow me to align images using the procedure I used before? I just need a Photoshop version which allows me to align the imagery I have. I have over 250 images.

My workplace has the following:

Product
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
Adobe Captivate V9
Adobe Director V12
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom V6
Adobe Photoshop Elements V14
Adobe Premiere Elements V14

Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements V14

Adobe Presenter

I am unable to conceptualize what you are trying to do. One of your images is dark, the other light. The content appears to be identical.

What does "align" mean in this context? What is the desired output? Do you want them to be side-by-side on one canvas?
