APE 10 error

At some point, my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 became corrupted.  I could not install, so I uninstalled, and re-installed.  However, attempting to run, I get "Windows is searching for Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe," and cannot find the file (nor can I.)  Any suggestions very welcome.
