Estoy importando ficheros NEF desde mi Nikon Z6II a Photoshop Elements 2022 (version 20.0) a través de Bridge. Por alguna razón que desconozco, en Organizer me aparecen dos copias de cuanto importo, fotos y videos. Del mismo tamaño cada archivo duplicado, con una extensión *-1.NEF o MP4). No sé qué pasa. ¿Alguien ha descubierto la causa de este problema?

    The Organizer only catalogs files that are already on your hard drive (or are copied and saved from a memory card in your camera)

    Why are you using Bridge?  You should be using the Adobe Photo Downloader via Import>From Camera or Card Reader.  

    If you examine the folder where the files have been imported from your camera, do the files already exist in duplicate (before you import them into the Organizer)?

    Are your files saved in a Watched Folder so that they are automatically imported into your catalog when you open the Organizer?

    Do you have other backup software in use that is backing up the files somehow to the same hard drive folder?  

    I need more details from you in order to figure out what is happening.

    That's exactly what it happened! The issue has been solved, importing directly from the camera. The workflow was always the same: download using Bridge and then, to Organizer. For years, it worked fine but some months ago the duplicates appeared. It was annoying when downloading series of 300-400 pictures. Thank you, Greg.

    Hi Greg.Thank you for your help. I'm importing the items from the camera with Bridge. When the files are in my computer (in my second internal HDD) I open Organizer and pictures and video get imported into the catalog, but duplicated. I have always done this way without any issue till some months ago.

    How exactly are you importing the photos and videos?  Where are the original files stored?  If you are somehow using Bridge, your workflow is creating duplicate files and it is the OS, presumably Windows that is copying the files to the same folder and is adding the -1 suffix.  Without more information, this sounds like a user error and has nothing to do with the program.  If the original files are stored on your hard drive, you should be importing them into the Organizer via Import>From Files and Folders.
