Correct answer hatstead

Here is what I did:

1. Opened a Levels adjustment layer to brighten the picture and bring out more detail

2. Applied Filter>other>High pass filter in overlay mode

3. Gently applied the Sharpen tool to Mom & Dad

4. Added a stroke

Perhaps. Please post the picture for us to look at, The unsharp mask command may help, but if the picture is way out of focus, it may not be very effective.
