After I edit a photo in PSE 12, it the program quits and the file is saved as a blank file. Is there anything that is a solution to this matter?

Can your provide more details?  What OS are you using?  Does the program crash spontaneously?  Are you receiving any error messages?  Are you using layers in your editing?

 

Without more information all I can suggest is to try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.
