Blank page problem

When I created a blank page file, any photo or background I add is converted to black and white or grayscale, any ideas as to remove/repair what is happening. I have never encountered his before.

    Go to Image menu>Mode and check RGB COLOR.

    Just be sure the blank page is in RGB mode. If it's in greyscale, all photos added to the canvas will inherit the color mode of the blank page.
