Bridge CS4 Running on a Mac opens then closes with no error message?

Running Bridge CS4 on Mac OS 10.12.5.  Bridge CS4 came with Photoshop Elements 8.   Bridge quit when I inadvertently closed the overall Bridge Window. Now  when I restart it; it opens, displays the Bridge header line shows a busy icon then closes without any error message.  I Use Photoshop Elements 15 Editor, but don't use PSE15 Organizer since I have all my photo files key worded with Bridge CS4.

I’ve reloaded all the PSE8 system (Adobe Photoshop Elements Language Version: 8.0.8.0.(20090915.m.607995) ) from the original DVD I received from Adobe and PSE8 works fine but Bridge CS4 still opens, shows the header line, then closes without an error messages.

How do I get Bridge operating again?

    Try this:

    Go to

    ~/Library/Saved Application State

    (your user library)

    and delete the

    com.adobe.bridge6.3.savedState


    Deleted com.adobe.bridge3.savedState and started Bridge.  Same open, pause, busy icon, then close no error message.  Checked Library  and com.adobe.bridge3.savedState didn't show up.  Reran Bridge this time using Shift-Command-Option and restarting Bridge to get Reset Preference message and did reset.  Got same pause, busy, close.  Checked for com.adobe.bridge6.3.savedState and it was again present so Bridge is getting through the reset preferences before failing.

    What is your original version? If your software not work properly please uninstall and shutdown your MAC and last please reinstall.

    Uninstalled PSE8 and did a Restart.

    I’ve reloaded all the PSE8 system (Adobe Photoshop Elements Language

    line, then closes without an error messages. Reran the reset routines and

    Bridge CS4 still opens, and after a few seconds of being opened it closes.

    See if resetting the Bridge CS4 preferences, Thumbnail Cache and Workspace makes a difference.

    Click and hold the Shift-Command-Option just after staring the launch of bridge cs4

    Keep holding the keys down until you get the Reset dialog as below, check all three boxes and click Ok

    Discovered that holding the Shift-Command-Option just BEFORE staring the launch of Bridge CS4 worked best.  The Reset option box came up followed by:  Do you want Bridge to start at login....  Didn't matter which option I chose, Bridge still shut down after making a choice. 

    After each preferences reset I did a system restart.

    I also found that when the Reset Settings box was open by clicking on "Adobe Bridge CS4" the Services ​option was operational.  I tried various resets there and nothing helped.

    Bridge CS4 still not working.  Any other suggestions

    Try deleting the

    com.adobe.bridge3.plist

    in

    ~/Library/Preferences

    that's your user library

    From where are you launching bridge, like inside the pse 8 editor or ...?
