Bridge Ratings Removed my Files

Like I have done literally 50,000+ times... I began sorting my photos today by going on Adobe Bridge, using my arrow left right keys to scrub through the thumbnails and adding a star rating to my picks by hitting Ctrl+1.  Well, the last 10 or so that I starred are gone!  I went to the root folder in windows, the file looked like it was there in the folder until I opened it up in preview and it says that it was removed or renamed.

Did I bump something?  I did a complete PC search of my missing files and it came up empty.  I restarted Bridge and it still didn't show it.

Help please!
