Question

Brush Tool Becomes the Grab Tool

Hello there,

I just downloaded the newest update for Photoshop CC 2018 and all of a sudden, when I try to use my brush tool using my Intuos 5 tablet, it's almost as if the brush tool becomes the grab tool and moves my canvas around. When I use my mouse, the brush tool works fine and the canvas stays in place like it's supposed to. Because of this, I feel like this is an issue with my tablet not syncing up to Photoshop the way it did before. Anybody know how I can fix this? Is there a menu I can find that lets me change my tablet > Photoshop control settings? I've tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, even trying to reinstall the old version (which I couldn't figure out how to do for the life of me). Does anyone have a solution? My job depends on me getting this resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you so much!

Just found the answer to my own question while browsing the forums (Thanks tornikejibuti!!)! I'll post it here just in case anyone needs it!

Create text doc like notepad with name "PSUserConfig" and write text :

# Use WinTab

UseSystemStylus 0

Plase this doc in folder : C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Settings

For anyone (me) who had trouble finding the Photoshop Settings folder,

Go to your File Explorer

    > Open "This PC"

    > Type in the Search Bar "Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Settings"

    > Drop the text.doc into the "Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Settings" folder

(This shows just how clueless I am when it comes to my own computer. Hopefully this helps other clueless people!)

BTW It doesn't seem to matter if you have the new 2018 version, it still works when you add it to the 2017 settings folder
