Bug with Photos taken with Messenger app

Hello,

I use Photoshop Elements 15 for a few months now.

Two months ago, as it was snowing in Paris (quite unusual), a friend asked me to send her pictures. I took the photos with the Messenger app, but it was the first time I did it.

It turns out the photos were quite good so I wanted to keep them. But when I imported the photos in Photoshop, they were not imported as the others, and not editable.

Here is how they appear on Photoshop Organizer:

And when I try to edit a photo, a message appears:

It says: "impossible to make the operation due to a problem with the analysis of JPEG data".

Does anyone know why I have problems with the photos and if there is a solution?

I do not have this problem with photos sent by my friends through the Messenger App, only with photos taken within the app.
