Camera raw help

I'm shooting with a canon EOS 60D. I have been using PSE on my windows 10 laptop for over a year without issues. I recently added my PSE software to my windows 10 Surface tablet to edit on the go and am not able to open my raw files. I attempted to download some plugins that looked to be the solution without success. Please help.

What version of photoshop elements are you using?

Did you try Help>Updates from with the photoshop elements editor to get latest camera raw for your version of pse?

If you have pse 10 or older you can download the camera raw plugin installer from here:

Photoshop Elements 14 (ver 14.1) Camera Raw 9.5.0

Shooting with Canon 77D

According to documentation here all of this is compatible. But I'm receiving error saying Cannot open this file. It is a .CR2 so all should be good.

Anyone have any ideas?

The canon 77D requires at least camera raw 9.10 and pse 14 can only use up to camera raw 9.5.

So besides upgrading to pse 2018 you could use the free adobe dng converter to convert the cr2s to dng copies which pse 14 should then open.
