Can I upgrade from PSE 11?

I have Photoshop Elements 11 and have recently upgraded my Mac to OS 10.12.6 Sierra. ... and it no longer works (when you try to save a new image a blank black and white window opens). Presumably PSE11 no longer works on Sierra. Can I upgrade to a newer version of PSE without having to pay some huge chunk of money? Thanks in advance.

    You might try going to

    /Users/User Name/Library/Preferences

    and Move to Trash the following files

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Settings folder

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Paths

    com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer11.plist

    com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.11.0.UUID.plist

    com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.11.0.plist

    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

    then see if pse 11 works any better.
