Can I use PSD files to rebuild PSE file?

Hello,

I am starting to use PSE 15 as a trial version. I was almost ready making my photobook and now my PSE file is corrupted and has only 5kb on information in it (I can not restore an older version). I still have the PSD files that the software generates. Can I, one way or another, use the PSD files to make a new PSE file, so that I don't need to start from scratch again?

In the few days I work with the program it already happened two times that I lost information, first time a few pages, now complete book. I always save the changes I make, but somehow something goes wrong, anybody tips?
