Can Photoshop Elements "Import" connect to anything besides WIA Support?

In previous versions of Photoshop Elements, I was able, with help from Adobe, to set things up so that when I clicked on File > Import, it would bring up my Epson V500 Photo scanner instead of just WIA Support.  Is there any way Elements 2020, which I now use, can be set up to do that?  Thanks.
