Can't Access Elements via Windows 10

I have Elements 2010 which ran on Windows 7.  Now that I have Windows 10 I get this message: "The catalog cannot be opened.  It is either corrupt or the version is out of date and cannot be opened."  What should I do?  Do I need the latest version of Elements?

There is no Elements 2010; do you mean Elements 10?

Are you on the same computer with the same Elements version as before?

Did you install Windows 10 on the same computer without deleting anything else?

    Did you reinstall Elements?

Can you start the organizer while keeping the shift key pressed so that you get an option to:

    - start with a new empty catalog?

    - repair the default catalog?

    - search for another existing catalog?

    Hi, Michel.

I have a similar problem, updated my pc to Windows 10 at some point PSE7 it doesn't work anymore! I've discovered that it can not work on this new system, if I would know this probably I would not update the whole system but, well, it's done.

You need to buy PSE update but it is not sure that this update then it will work.

I ve done this two mounthes ago and I still try install it correctly. Even following suggestions from Adobe support I'm still troubling.

This forum doesn't help, Adobe supports not even has solved the problem until now.

I'll let you know something when I'll have the solution.

    Ciao.

    Stefano,

I never had version 7 but I can tell you I have Elements 6 (reinstalled after the Win 10 upgrade on the computer) and that it works for me. Version 7 is not supported, but that does not mean it's incompatible.

What happens exactly when you try to open PSE7 ? Are there any messages ? You may have to reinstall some runtime DLL libraries to solve the problem.

Is your computer compatible with the new 2018 version, especially is it a 64-bits hardware config?
