Can't find PSD file anymore only PDF

Recently I  have made a design in photoshop but apparently I didn't save the PSD file..... Every time that I worked on it,  I could just open it because it was in my recent documents but now I opened some other files and now I can't find it anymore.

Photoshop shows me 20 recently opened files but the file I look for is probably number 21/22

I searched for the file in my macbook because I thought I saved it but I can't find it only in PDF..

Does anyone knows where I can still find the file?
