can't import files from my sd card, PSE12 states 'damaged or in a format that can't be included'

The solutions posted in forum: PE9 "The file is damaged or is a format that cannot be included in the Organizer"  did not help.

Please help, the images can be viewed on my camera, and can be imported onto my computer but can't be viewed in PSE12, this hasn't happened before.
