Question

Can't use Elements 12 after computer replacement

When I start Elements 12 I'm requested to log in and registrate my Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 within 7 days otherwise the product will stop working.  This will not help. I have bought(cash) and used Elements for at least 11 years on my old PC. I have now installed Elements on my new PC, but I  can’t  start my Elements.

The old PC  does not work anymore, so it is impossible to deactivate Elements.

What can I do?

Try removing your computer from the internet and activate online using the instructions found in this article.

(The current article is not available at the Adobe site.  I hope this is not an ominous sign that the activatation by this method is not working.  My link is therefore to the article found on Archive.org.  It may take a little while to load.)

This is a public forum where anybody can see your post.

Please don't post private information.

You should have 2 activations for PSE 12.

Did you use both?

Adobe Customer Service (Support) no longer has the ability to reset activations.
The only way to deactivate is if you can open the program on the computer that you want to deactivate.
