Question

Cannot deactivate photoshop elements 7

I'm trying to deactivate photoshop elements 7 on my PC so that I can use it on another computer, as I already have it on another.  When I click the Help Menu in photoshop elements, the deactivate option is not highlighted, therefore, I cannot select it.   I tried calling Adobe customer service, and they directed me here.

I'm not sure if there was an activation mechanism in PSE7.

What happens if you try and enter your serial number on the third computer?

If I try to use the program on the 3rd computer, it tells me that my program is already active on 2 other computers and that I need to deactivate one.  When I spoke to Adobe Customer Service, he did not offer me any help, but told me this is a known problem with PSE7.  He told me to come to this forum where I would receive a new serial number.  Not sure where else to go with this problem but I really need to figure it out.

This is a user-to-user forum, not Adobe corporate. I don't think that any users who post here can generate a new serial number for you.

I would contact Adobe again. Try to initiate a chat session. Hopefully the functionary will be able to help you.

There has been 54 views on my question but no answers.  What am I supposed to do if adobe customer service has directed me here, but I'm not getting any responses?  Anyone?

Is there any possibility that you have already deactivated it?

No, the program is currently active on the computer.
