Cannot edit from PSE 2022 Organizer

Question

When I edit a photo in PSE 2020 and the attempt to save the edited photo, I get the error message "IAC Operation Failed". The photo remains locked in EDIT mode.  I am running on a MacBook with monterrey operating system.  I also tried directly opening the file in the Editor, editing, and saving it from there,  I receive the same error message.  For what it's worth my PSE version is:  Core Version: 20.0 (20211214.Git.dot.221c6b7)
