Cannot Import Pictures - Adobe Elements Organizer 15 Keeps Crashing

I just bought Elements 15 to upgrade from Picasa specifically to use Organizer and to use face recognition.

However, I cannot import any photos.  It crashes ever time. How do I get the program to import my photos? I see others have had this problem, but do not see a solution anywhere.

Please help.

I don't have time to check now, but apparently there is a new update to Windows 10 which is supposed to fix this problem - Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4015438).

I look forward to trying it when I can.

So all updates in place within Windows, editor works fine, but organizer repeatedly crashes in Elements 15. Is Adobe planning to rel;ease a fix for this, as it is more than just an irritation? If there isn't a fix I won't be the only one looking to alternative products.

    Hi,

    Inconvenience is sincerely regretted.

    Please answer my following queries:

    1. Is Elements Organizer crashing on launch or on any particular import scenario? If any particular scenario then please mention that.
    2. Please mention your OS and it's version
    3. Please attach the event viewer logs. Refer to the instructions for the same at following link:

    Thanks,

I have the same Issue. I have all latest Windows updates installed.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Organizer keeps crashing during Batch Import. "Elements 15 Organizer has stopped working"

It seems to be happening when ".m4a" media is being imported.

Is there a way to exclude certain media or extensions during batch import?
