Cannot stop Auto Creation in Organizer 2024 from starting in the background

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer 2024. No matter what I do, I am not able to stop the Auto Creation code from launching in the background, consuming 100% of PC resources. I tried to check it off in the preferences and removed it from the startup. Nothing stopped this useless for me, but I was heavy on resource code from running. Please help.

@Zbig32482002qhgk,  see this thread which provides a geeky solution to your problem.

@DP*  using your method, don't you also disable many other functions including face recognition and smart tags?

That may well be true. I don't use any of those features so it doesn't bother me. When those features were first introduced I tried them and didn't find them useful (I manually tag my photos).

To prevent the Auto Creations process from running, rename or delete the following:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 2024 Organizer\Elements Auto Creations 2024.exe

I rename it so something that ensures it can never run e.g., "Elements Auto Creations 2024.exe.bad"

If PSE gets updated, the executable may get installed again and you'll have to rename or delete it again.

I've been doing this for years and it works just fine.

Many thanks, DP*! I have done just that, and the pesky Auto Creation is not more:-)
