Question

Cannot use Photoshop Elements 2025

I just purchased Photoshop Elements 2025, downloaded it, selected the location for the file, and when it finishes "installing", it takes me to a menu where I can select either the organizer, photo editor or video editor.

When I launch the photo editor and it is acts like I haven't purchased the software. A pop-up states that I can "start my free trial".

I've installed the software on a year ols iMac running Sequoia 15.1.1.

Adobe Help is no help at all.

@scott_5280, it sounds like you have purchased the bundle and installed only Premiere Elements - not Photoshop Elements.  They are two different programs that require separate installations.  The bundle shares the Organizer and Home Screen.  If, as I suspect, you only installed Premiere Elements, you will get the download free trial message when you click on the Photoshop Editor.

Are you signed into your Adobe account when installing the program?  Try signing out of the account from the Help menu and signing back in.

I was signed in to my one and only Adobe account when I purchased the Adobe 2025 bundle of the Organizer, Elements and Video editor. I received an email confirmation and started the download and installation process from the link provided in the email from Adobe. I am running the software on an iMac running Sequoia 15.1.1 and I selected the Mac version of the download. The Organizer runs, but when I select the Photo Editor, I get a popup prompting me to to download the free trial. After searching numerous Adobe forums I tried signing out of my account and signing back on. I have uninstalled the app, I even uninstalled the previous version (2023) prior to installing the 2025 version. All to no avail. My purchase of the 2025 bundle shows up in my account, and the purchase shows up in my credit card statement, but the Help Bot can't find any record of my having purchased anything in the last 60 days. I plan on canceling my purchase and requesting a refund to resolve this issue. The Help chat was of no use.

My experience was very similar to scott. Purchased 3 yr edn of Photoshop Elements. INstalled it on my new Mac MIni OS 15.1.1. When trying to edit vuia Photo, it fails to launch. I've spent many hours with Abobe "Help" - which is misnomer. The AI chatbot just delivers programmed responses & forgets all my answers & input. Adobe was to call me in 1 minute. I'm still waiting. I'l try & see if Apple have any advice. Else, I'll ek a refund & find another photo editor. Adobe Help is anything but.

You need to ask program questions in the forum for the program you are using

Moved from Premiere Elements video forum to Photoshop Elements

John,

My apologies for posting in the wrong forum. My confusion stems from Adobe's overuse of "Premiere" in so many of their products. The software I ordered, downloaded and installed and have had subsequent issues with is titled "Adobe Premiere Elements 2025", which led me to mistakenly post a query in a Premiere Elements forum.

Thanks for moving my query to the appropriate forum.
