Cannot View .jpg Files Loaded to Catalog

Question

Just installed PSE 2021 on HP laptop, up-to-date WIN 10, 7th Gen prcessor, 550 GB free space,  .  Loading files to catalog from hard drive works for about 1000 files,  then files loaded past that point cannot be viewed as thumbnails in Organizer or as pics themselves in Organizer or Editor.  Only see gray box with line squiggle through it.  Have tried many load methods to work around with no success(delete catalog, start over, load different files, add a few at a time, etc. Have about 6000 total to add to a catalog. Here'a pic of Organizer thumbnails.  Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Can you check the sizes of these images in pixels? Organizer does not generate thumbnails of pictures above a certain limit. You can check those limits at: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/maximum-image-size-limits-photoshop.html
