Simple question. I have elements 10 and canon 80D. Will RAW files work in elements.

Simple answer: no, unless you use the free DNGconverter.

Old softwares versions can't understand the format of any new camera. Each camera comes with its new raw format. Elements versions can be updated to a certain point, but with old versions like Elements 10, it's not possible.
The free solution is to download and install the free Adobe DNGconverter mentioned in the above faq. That independent software (not a plugin) can convert a whole folder of your CR2 files to the DNG raw format that your PSE10 and older versions can read and edit.
