I use Windows 11. Today I downloaded Elements 2022 and updated the Camera Raw plug in to 14.1.0.993. I cannot open CR3 files from my Canon R7. I get a message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" How do I fix this?
Your brand new camera requires ACR 14.4. You can use a workaround found here to update the Elements ACR to the latest version. You need to follow the instructions precisely.
Alternatively, you can use the free Adobe DNG converter to batch convert your raw files to the DNG format which will work with the current Elements ACR.
