I have been using the Elements Organizer since before it was Elements.  I currently have about 250,000 photo and video files in my catalog and can find any photo or video I am looking for in a matter of seconds.  I would never be able to do that using File Explorer with nearly 2,000 folders, generally listed by date of image taken.  Even if I used a more descriptive naming scheme for my folders, I would have to rely too much on my aging memory to find which folder a photo might be in.  Using the grid available in the Elements Organizer, I can swiftly scroll through hundreds or thousands of photos filtered in various ways, rather than browsing through folders via numerous clicks to open and close them.

Yes, it takes some work to take advantage of all of the search capabilities, such as face recognition.  But that work pays off, particularly if you have a large number of files.  Media analysis seems to improve each year, both in speed and quality.  In fact, I rarely tag my photos with keywords any more since the smart tags applied to a photo by the program, automatically,

more often than not will find what I am looking for.

So, yes, I am a big fan of the Organizer's database to view my images rather than the File Explore's limited browsing capabilities.  But only you can judge whether it fits your workflow needs.

That said, I don't use it. I use Windows Explorer.
