Centering newly opened files on Photoshop 2018 screen

I was changing some items in Preferences & now whenever I open up a new file in PSE 2018 it opens up in the top left hand corner of my screen & not in the centre as it did before. How can I correct this?

This is a known bug in PSE2018 when you have set your preferences to 'allow floating documents in expert mode'.

I suggest clicking on the 'layout' icon on the bottom icon bar, then the option 'all floating'. You can use the 'Window' menu to choose the layout, Image >> Tile, Cascade...
