My laptop computer has a Solid State drive for the  operational program files  and is full of various program and so I am wondering about uninstalling Elements 10 , I installed Elements 11 some while ago and use it for  my basic quick photo editing, ,  and so I figure I can free up space on the SSDrive in  my computer by  deleting the older Elements 10 ,,  however Before doing that I thought it wise to ask if I will lose any of my overall photo files when I delete the Elements 10 version ?  Paul J.S.B.  pauljsbmaps@telus.net

    Hi pauljsbmaps,

I understand you are looking for removing Adobe Elements completely from your machine.

You can also try Adobe Cleaner Tool for this task by clicking here.

    Hope this help.

    Thanks

Does the Adobe Cloud Cleaner tool apply to Elements?

I thought Elements users should use the Uninstaller

Uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements or Photoshop Elements

The Adobe Cloud Cleaner also works with Elements. It's necessary in various situations, especially when there are problems to update a version and there are already several versions installed.

You can uninstall the older version of Elements without risk.

However, even with small SSD drives, the size of the software is negligible. What you have to pay attention to is the location of your image files (on another normal internal or external drive) and possibly your catalog(s).

You can use your Explorer or Finder to copy or move your catalog folder to the other drive.

    - Find the location of the folder with the menu Help >> System Information

    - move or copy the folder to the other drive

    - Start the organizer with the catalog copy by double clicking on the 'catalog.pse11db' file in the copied folder.

Also, with small SSD, if possible, set your scratch disk to another internal normal drive.
