Collage question - PE Shuts down

Hello,

I am trying to create a Collage using PE14 on the below system as shown below.

The issue I'm facing is PE simply shuts down and quits when I try to add an effect or background to the collage.

Why would this be happening?

Thanks,

    Hi Joef,

Sorry to hear about Photoshop elements crashing when you create a collage, could you please try the steps mentioned here and let us know if that helps? Photoshop Elements crashes on using the crop tool or photo collage

    Regards,

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I uninstalled the application, then re-installed (version 19) - just assuming this is the upgrade.

When I put my serial number I received at the time with version 14, bought from Amazon, it's saying it's not valid.

So now, I have no Elements..please advise?

    Joe
