Question

Color Picker does not display properly in Organizer

I am trying to change the color associated with a category tag in the Organizer.  I have Elements 2021 on a mac running Monterey 12.3.1.  In the Keywords I select my category tag, then choose "Edit" from the drop down menu next to Keywords.  This brings up the "Edit Category" box, then I select "Choose Color".  The Color Picker box comes up but is distorted.  I will try to attach a picture below.  The 3 windows within the box that are supposed to display colors are instead semi-transparent.  I can see through these windows to the Organizer thumbnails below.  The windows are not totally clear - they appear to have faint colors over them, as if looking through pale stained glass.  Any idea how to fix this?  The Color Picker box displays normally in the Editor.

Most likely it's a bug that is not user fixable.

Thanks, but I'm using a Mac - the computer and monitor are all self-contained in one unit, so there's no cable connecting the two.

I'm seeing the same issue in the photoshop elements 2022 organizer running on macOS Monterey 12.3.1

on an M1 processor.

Is your mac Intel or M1?

Yikes!  In the past simliar issues in other programs was narrowed down to a loose cable fro mthe cpu to the montior.   Having a cable get pinched, or bitten by a cat can also cause a simliar issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but on the mac the computer and monitor are self-contained in one unit, so there's no cable connecting the two.
