Color picker has stopped working

Hi ... I somehow made it so that the foreground/background color icon at the bottom of the toolbox changed so that the foreground box is now divided in two-- half black and half white-- and I haven't been able to change it back. Has anyone else run ito this? Ideas? thanks for any help you can offer.

Unfortunately, photoshop elements versions older than pse 2023 exhibit quite a few interface graphical issues.

As of this post the only fix seems to be upgrading to photoshop elements 2023 or 2024.

Installing the macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 update seems to fix the interface graphical issues.

What version of photoshop elements are you using?

Are you running macOS Sonoma 14?
