Configuration Error

I cleared my cache and now Photoshop 10 won't open. I get a Configuration Error that says "Uninstall and reinstall the product. If the problem still occurs, please contact Adobe tech support for help and mention the error code..." Error: 6. I am unable to contact Tech Support. I got a message that there is no tech support for my product. I tried to uninstall/reinstall, but when I hit the uninstall button, it shows me that the file is empty and I can't uninstall. Does somebody have a solution, because I'm fit to be tied?

Try installing over the old installation.  Then uninstall and reinstall.

You may need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool (Yes, it works for Photoshop Elements, too.):

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
