Since upgrading to Elements 2024  sometimes when I try and save an image a totally blank white screen pops up with the message "Confirm Save As" and will not let me do anythin except end task. This never happened with previous versions. I am on Windows 10; Elements 24.0

Thanks

I am also having this problem. And I too was using Elements 13 before, but I bought a new PC. When I tried to launch it, despite deactivating Elements on my previous computer, I got the Sign In loop. I contacted a support agent and was told the servers for PE13 Sign In had been retired and I wouldn't be able to activate it. Which forced me upgrade despite owning a physical copy of Elements 13. How this isn't a lawsuit, I have no idea. I can't use a product I paid for simply because of the Activation Sign-In.

Elements 2024 has crashed on my several times in the week I've bought it, and now I, too, am having the Save bug where I only get a white screen. I'm hoping it fixes itself, because I'm afraid of how much work I'm about to loose.

Ask for an agent in the chat bot.

This is a user to user forum.  We cannot help you with your refund request.  You will have to contact Adobe Support.

Support? Ok and where is that? All I get is some sort of mindless Chat.

If you type in the chat "I need to speak to a person" you'll get an actual agent. But they won't help you. They're only there to get you to spend money. I've seen forum posts where people actually got a phone number and called and were able to get more help that way.

The Media Analysis is in the Organizer Preferences, but while it is operating it can affect the Editor.

Hi,

Well I must say Photoshop elements is probably the absolute worst upgrade I can ever remember.

(.1.) It keeps hanging spinning around with 25+% CPU when doing edits and I have to terminate losing changes I have made. This is the worst. I have been using Elements for years and never experienced such a train wreck of the product.

[cid:e59b1a14-0a37-427f-b558-7a24ffd5e6d7]

(.2.) The Save As problem I mentioned before.

(.3.) The problem when I execute -Ctrl-Shift-Alt-E to consolidate layers it shows a blank icon that you can only resolve by closing the image and reloading it. Another glaring croc!!

(4.) I did a dump of the latest problem and it said the dump file was in
C:\Users\salbr\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe Premiere Elements 2023.DMP

But when I looked it wasn't there.

(.5.) I would like a refund of the upgrade I did from Elements 13. This product is a train wreck and unusable and I will continue using Elements 13.

How often is this happening?  Can you give us a screenshot.  (A picture is worth a thousand words.)

What version did you upgrade from?  It is likely that media analysis or generating Auto Creations is taking place in the background and this can interfere with even normal operations in the Editor.  Try turning all media analysis off in Preferences and see  if that makes a difference.

Thanks for looking into this!!

Ok. I looked through preferences but did not see any "Media Analysis" options anywhere.

The problem pops up at random times but only when I am saving a file.

I upgraded from Elements 13 and in 3-4 years of use never saw this. The problem is there is no way to get out of the all white blank screen. A "screenshot " of this is not
complicated :

It is an all white screen which covers almost the entire screen and has "Confirm Save As" in the upper left corner and the yellow triangle sign with an exclamation point below it. So I have to terminate Elements losing any changes I have made.

It really discourages one from "upgrading" because inevitably there is some thing that isn't compatible.

Hopefully there is some thing I will be able to do to get rid
